So, for the last time this year, I got up super early and we hit the road headed for foreign lands in the name of racing.
The drive down to Dover was pretty painless, bar some commuter traffic and the ferry crossing to Dunkirk nice and smooth. Overheard a guy and his wife describing his job as a pro Speedway racer, which was cool.
I'm now at the apartment and ready to head to bed after a further 3 hours of driving through France, Belgium and The Netherlands. It's a fairly basic flat, but definitely has a nice vibe and everything we could need, which is a rarity.
I'm looking forward to seeing Sittard (our home town for the next few days) in the daylight and of course, checking out the track. The knee isn't super, but hopefully a bit of spinning out on the course and it should be better in 24 hours time before the race.
Will update you from the track. Happy riding until then.
